Percival's ideal home

Percival is looking for a calm and quiet home to relax in and enjoy his golden years, with patient adopters who will give him time to settle in and grow a bond with them. He can live with children aged 12 and older who will understand when he needs space and will leave him to rest when needed. He could live with another calm and gentle dog who will happily coexist with him. He cannot live with cats or other small furries. Percival is quite indifferent to training, he will need a refresher on his house training so his own private, secure garden is essential. Percival may be able to be left alone for up to 2-4 hours once settled in but this should be introduced slowly once he has had time to get used to his new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so he can relax and have a snooze! Percival is on long term medication, adopters will need to bear this in mind when applying. He will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Lovely little gent Percival is a 12 and a half year old Chihuahua cross who is small but full of character. He likes to go out on walks and explore and sniff, after which he will snuggle down on the sofa for a nice cosy snooze. Once he has a bond with you Percival loves a fuss and will happily find a nice welcoming lap to curl up in and accept all the fusses and head scratches. Chihuahua Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Chihuahua.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
