Hugo (Little)

Hugo (Little)'s ideal home
Little Hugo may be tiny in stature, but he has the biggest character and heart to compensate! Those who have been lucky enough to meet this sweet boy have fallen in love the moment they met him! Calm and gentle in his character, this friendly 10-year-old is happy to make new friends and considers himself to be a ‘lapdog’. He could share his home with older children of secondary-school age, who could be calm around him and allow him the space to enjoy the peaceful lifestyle that he’d thrive in. He’s a sociable boy with other dogs and could possibly live with another likeminded dog of a similar size and docile character to himself. However, he is unsuitable to live with any cats. A garden of his own is essential, so that he can practice his house training in the initial days, and also because he isn’t used to going for walks. Hugo does have some ongoing medical needs, and his potential adopters must be willing to commit to providing him with long-term medication, while ensuring to monitor his health as he ages. Our Adoption Advisors can let you know more about his medical needs upon a successful application. Leaving Hugo alone at home could be built up gradually, as he is happy to be left for a few hours once settled in his new environment.
Could you be Hugo (Little)'s perfect match?
Little Hugo loves nothing more than sitting upon a human lap, receiving lots of love and affection. He’s not so fussed about going for walks as this isn’t something he’s had much experience with, but he may appreciate having short potters to have a sniff at his own pace. Hugo prefers getting his steps in during playtime in the garden, and he’s very fond of his toys… especially tiny tennis balls, or his small soft Disney princess toys, which he likes to parade around proudly, or take to his bed. It’s adorable to witness! If he’s not playing in the garden, you will often find him relaxing for a sunbathe. Hugo is currently residing in a temporary foster home, where he has proven himself to be a wonderful houseguest, but what he would love the most is a family to call his own. Could it be you?
