Tyson's ideal home

3 year old Tyson has come to us with very little history. He is a nervous little guy with a sensitive side and is looking for a adult only home where someone can introduce him to the world and help build his confidence. Tyson is very bonded with his kennel buddy Marley so they are to be homed together. Tyson is looking for a home with a garden so he can explore a sniff about, he is not very confident on the lead and this will need to be worked on over time whilst building his confidence. Both Marley and Tyson will need some basic training and a refresher on house training. (the odd accident to be expected when they first go home). Any new adopters will need to be able to do multiple visits here at the center to help build a relationship with the pair.

Tyson has had a sheltered life and needs love and patience he does get quite anxious in new environments, but his confidence is growing daily and his little personality is starting to shine. Both Marley and Tyson love to have a chat and can get quite vocal. Tyson gains his confidence a bit quicker than Marley and will approach for a fuss. Tyson is a little noise sensitive and does get jumpy with loud noises. He also loves his treats so this will be useful for further training and building a bond with his new family. This little duo will be a lovely addition to the home and will great company.

Chihuahua Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Chihuahua.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
